Interview with Agathe and Louise

On April 22, 2010 PS 102 had some visitors from France. They were 9th grade students here on a school trip who were stranded an extra week due to the volcano in Iceland that shut down Europe’s airports.

Agathe was born in Briton. Lousie was born in Paris. Both are 14 years old. They attend St. Vincent School. Agathe has 3 sisters, Louise has one big brother. The girls speak 3 languages each, English, French and Spanish.

How did you react when you heard about the volcano? We were upset, surprised and mad because we had 2 weeks vacation and now have to stay here longer. How do you feel about getting back to France? Impatient!

What pets do you have? Louise: A cat named Simbo. Agathe: 2 dogs and 1 cat.

What is your favorite TV Show? Desperate Housewives.

What is your favorite Store? H&M because it is cheap.
What is your favorite part of France? The Eifel tower.
What do you get to do here that you don’t do at home? Shopping in Times Square and big shops and seeing new things.
